In Celebration of You

Being an Early Childhood Teacher and Educator is extremely rewarding
Working with children in their early years is important and builds strong foundations for life-long learning. It takes passion, dedication, creativity and an eye for detail. It takes care, compassion, understanding and patience.
All Children deserve the best and when placed with Educators and Early Childhood Teachers that have unlimited ways of doing with belonging, being and becoming concepts, they are exposed to rich learning experiences. Children therefore will have the best foundations to be proud of who they are, build resilience and experience multiple ways of connecting to maintain their purpose in life.
The History of Early Learning
Early Childhood Education and Care is said to have first begun around the 1890’s as preschools, with the purpose of educating impoverished children during the depression. Soon after day nurseries were set up for Mums to enter the workforce. A major shift happened in the 1950’s with the Government recognising and supporting the need for Early Learning Services. This led to The Australian Child Care Act being introduced in 1972. Early Childhood Education and Care has continued to grow in size with a focus on quality and availability for all children.
The Growth of Early Childhood Education and Care
This growth and dedication to quality has led to an increase in the knowledge and skills of Educators and Early Childhood Teachers and an alignment of National Standards and National Frameworks which underpin the practices of all those who educate and care for children in their early years.
Stop, Think and Wonder...
Think about the very first preschools and day nurseries. Consider their purpose? What similarities do you think might exist between Early Learning Services then and now?
Good quality learning in the Early Years is the foundational work for children’s life long learning? What does quality learning look and feel like?
A true professional goes about their day with the intent to make a difference. Praise comes in the form of a milestone being achieved, a smile being offered or a cuddle received. What simple acts from a child makes your day?
Motivation is intrinsic, coming from within. How do you recognise and praise yourself for the difference you are making in a small person’s eyes?
Our Gratitude Shared with You...
We are writing this blog to pay homage to all the Educators and Early Childhood Teachers who show up each day, with a smile on their face, an idea in their mind, a song or puppet on the ready, an experiment prepared and a story to read. We thank you for the love you bring to the young people you are caring for and educating. We acknowledge that although it is a challenge, and your great work may seem to go unnoticed, we see you. You are true professionals, deserving of praise and thanks.
Thank you for being you!
