Each year Cultural Significant Events carry cultural messages with powerful and relevant themes that reflect the meaningful change that needs to happen within our society.  It is worthwhile to find out about these themes months in advance and to gather your resources and have professional conversations with your colleagues on how to embed these messages into your care environments.

2022 National Reconciliation Week Theme: Be Brave. Make Change... ...is a challenge to us all to Be Brave and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can Make Change for everyone in Australia.

Learn more from Reconciliation Australia by checking out the links we have provided to access your downloadable posters, resources, banners and learn more about the theme and meaning behind the posters. This will promote meaningful conversations with your colleagues which they can then have with your children, families and community.
To help you along your cultural journey and in supporting the theme 'Be Brave. Make Change' Reconciliation Australia has developed action steps to support you to make change for 2022:
There are many resources available. 'Be brave. Make change' together, it is everyone's responsibility to work towards a reconciled Australia. By taking steps, the many places where we work, live and play will flourish, reflecting cultural safe practices and be safe places for us all to raise our children and future generations.
